Jaime arrived safe and sound early this morning.  After showers we took a walk across the Seine, through the Latin Quarter and around the Luxembourg Gardens.  After lunch we decided to have a look at the Musée de Cluny, since the weather was iffy — a mix of sun and brief showers.  It was jammed, since National museums are free on the first day of each month.  The collection is extensive and impressive, although there were some heavily damaged pieces that I found it hard to relate to.  Everyone’s favorite is the Lady and the Unicorn:

We then took a quick nap and headed out to a delightful dinner at the home of Colt and Julien, a young gay couple who Bob had met through a mutual friend.

After a not-very-inspiring drink at the Eagle we’re off to bed, just after midnight.
